Tribe called Creek

CREEK

Creek is a Native American tribe called Creek. Creek is a Native group that was from the southeastern United States, like the states of Oklahoma and Alabama and so on. Also Creek isknown as Muscogee or Mukogee. The clan is not one tribe, but it is two tribes. There are two tribes with the same name.

Art

Creek is also known for art,and very good art. For example, they made baskets, clothes, wood carvings and beadwork. Furthermore, they made glazed pottery, which is an art that is hand made with natural clay. After they were done creating the pottery, they left the wet clay pot out in the sun. After drying, the Creeks put natural color on the pots and sculpted it. Some of the art that the tribe Creek designed are sold in stores. Also, they may be artifacts.
Customs and Tradition

The men in the tribe dressed in leather leggings and Breechclothes. The women wore wraparound skirts. Men shaved their heads, while women wrapped their hair around their heads. The tribe sang songs, played Stickball, and played instruments. Also the Creeks danced arouned the fire. This clan had religous cermonies for when people died in their tribe. They worshiped many gods. They weren't allowed to get married to others from their own tribe. Additionally, in the tribe, men hunted deer and shot wild turkey. Crops like corn, beans, and squash were grown by them. The Creek's home were made of plaster and a thing called rivercane.

The Creek men were sometimes warriors. These warriors decorated their bodies with paint. This act was known as tribal tatoos. The warriors painted their faces red for battles and dances. However, Creek women did not paint themselves.

Weapons

Some weapons that were used in the tribe were bows, arrows, and spears. These weapons were used for hunting and war. For example, nets were used for fishing and other things. Today, these weapons are artifacts that are talked about in social studies classes and are displayed in museums.

Conclusion
In conclusion, this project discusses the art, customs and traditions, and weapons of the Creek tribe. I really like this project beacause I learned about the Creek tribe and their creativity. For instance, the Creek tribe created beadwork and glazed pottery. I would like to make glazed pottery because it sounds like a fun hand on activity.

Nice work Sharella. Your essay describes each topic well. Avoid using titles for each topic next time. Just let it be one complete essay. Great job on the page.
